Wisconsin Rapids moved out of their funk, improving to 8-8 with a series opening win over the Loggers 11-4, led by their starter Jack Riley's dominant pitching performance.

Riley was fantastic off the mound, surrendering just one hit through six innings of work, and striking out five batters. The lefty from UConn has proven to be one of the strongest arms in the South Division, owning a 4-1 record and a stellar 1.89 ERA over 42 2/3 innings, striking out a total of 28 batters.

Rapids looks for the series sweep tomorrow over the Loggers, with first pitch scheduled for 5:05 PM.
