The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters improved to .500 in the second half as they dismantled the streaking La Crosse Loggers 11-4, taking game one of their South Division series. Rafters outfielder Jake Sandlin played a huge part in the victory, as he recorded his second Player of the Night honor in 2015.
Sandlin was sensational at the plate tonight, going a perfect 3-for-3, hitting three doubles and knocking in three RBIs. The junior who's headed to Southern Mississippi next year has been a star amongst the Rapids' lineup, holding a .291 batting average, with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs, and 52 hits, while leading the league with 16 doubles.
Sandlin and the Rafters face off against La Crosse for the series sweep as they play again tomorrow at 5:05 PM.
