The Woodchucks have started their post All-Star break with a bang, winning their fourth consecutive game Friday, and destroying the Kalamazoo Growlers 20-1. Wisconsin's shortstop Yusuke Akitoshi played a solid role in the dominating effort, winning his first Player of the Night honor for 2015.

Akitoshi was brilliant at the plate in the series finale, going 3-for-6, hitting his second home run and totaling a season-high six RBIs for the game. Hailing from Japan, but attending Cal State Northridge, Akitoshi has cemented himself as the Chucks everyday shortstop with a .266 batting average, 2 home runs and 14 RBIs, with 29 hits through 109 at-bats.

Akitoshi and Wisconsin host Thunder Bay for an interleague showdown tomorrow; first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
