Sweeping their interleague doubleheader Wednesday, the Eau Claire Express moved into fourth place in the North, currently riding a four game win streak, defeating Wisconsin Rapids 14-3 in the first game, then walking off in the nightcap 6-5. Eau Claire's outfielder Austin Listi was sensational in part one of the doubleheader, taking home Player of the Night for his performance.
After starting the season a little slow, Listi is beginning to heat up at the plate as he went 3-for-5 in the day game, hitting his second home run of the year, two doubles, and driving in a season-high five RBIs. A junior from Dallas Baptist, Listi owns a .205 batting average with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs, however in his last two games he has stuffed the stat sheet, going 5-for-10 with eight RBIs and scoring four times.
Listi and the Express will look to boost their win streak to five games, travelling to Rochester for a two-game series starting at 7:05 PM.
