Long allows one hit through six innings of relief, leads Lakeshore to victory.
Lakeshore took their road series opener against Wisconsin, defeating the Woodchucks 8-4, led by sensational relief performance from Kevin Long, who carried his team to victory and registered his first Pitcher of the Night.
Long was lights out from the bullpen, entering in the 4th inning to a 5-4 ballgame, and held Wisconsin to just one hit through the final six innings of the game and striking out seven batters, earning his second win of the year. The junior from Lehigh has fluctuated between starting and relieving, but owns a 4.59 ERA and a 2-3 record, while striking out 26 batters through 33 1/3 innings of work.
The Chinooks will seek the series sweep against Wisconsin, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
