The Mallards pushed their win streak to six games, defeating Battle Creek easily 13-5, as they were led by their All-Star catcher Jean Ramirez, who earned his first Player of the Night for 2015.
Ramirez carried his team to victory, going 2-for-5 with a home run and driving in a season-high five RBIs on the night. The star catcher has been nothing short of sensational all season with Madison, leading all catchers with a .306 batting average, hitting 7 home runs and driving in 37 RBIs. A senior from Illinois State, Ramirez is second on the team with a .464 slugging percentage and has recorded 14 doubles on the year.
