Wausau, WIS – Excited to see who is going to be playing for the Woodchucks in this upcoming season?  The Wisconsin Woodchucks have announced the addition of two more players for the 2016 season! Andre Jackson and Tanner Thomas are both sophomores at the University of Utah and will be joining the team as pitchers for the Wisconsin Woodchucks.  

RHP – Andre Jackson, 6'2", (R/R) Sophomore, University of Utah

Jackson is originally from Tuscan, Arizona and attended Cienega High School.  He was selected in the 32nd round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers.  Jackson hit .444 over 26 games as a senior with eight doubles, three triplets, four home runs and 22 RBI.  He earned the title First-team All-division and All-section honors as a senior. Jackson played 44 games with 30 starts in the outfield and hit .179 with six doubles and five RBI in his freshman campaign for the University of Utah.

RHP – Tanner Thomas, 6'0", (R/R) Sophomore, University of Utah

Thomas is from Aurora, Colorado and attended Grandview High School. He earned the title of First-team All-Centennial League.  Thomas had a 4-0 record with a 2.90 ERA and 55 strikeouts as a senior.  Thomas was 2-0 on the hill as a freshman for Utah where he stuck out 23 in 31.2 innings.
