Catcher Brian Lees and INF Parker Coss come to Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The Green Bay Bullfrogs have officially announced the signings of Catcher Brian Lees and INF Parker Coss for the 2016 summer season.

Lees, an Akron transfer, is playing his junior season at Southeast Missouri State. Parker Coss, hailing from San Juan Capistro, California, is entering his freshman season for the Anteaters of the University California-Irvine. Both players will be enjoying their first season in the Northwoods League.

Catcher – Brian Lees, 6’1” 200 (R/R) Junior, Southeast Missouri State

Lees joins the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State after spending his first two collegiate seasons as the backstop for the Akron Zips. As a freshman at Akron, Lees appeared in 29 games, starting in 27 of them. Lees, who had nine multi-hit games, finished the season driving in twelve men and posting five doubles. Brian saw his batting average raise sixty points during his sophomore season. While starting 55 games, Lees batted .292 for the Zips with ten doubles and a home run. He has appeared in 10 games for the Redhawks this season, starting in six. Lees is batting .304 with a double and six runs scored on the season.

INF – Parker Coss, 5’11” 165 (R/R) Freshman, UC-Irvine

Coss joins the Anteaters following a decorated prep career in California. Coss was a member of a CIF State Championship team and named MVP his senior year. He was also named All-District at Capistrano Valley High School four times throughout his high school career. For his efforts, Coss was voted to the MaxPreps and Cal-Hi Sports All-State First Teams and was also Perfect Game All-West Region honorable mention. Coss holds the school record with 145 runs batted in and is second in the record books in hits with 185. So far this season for California-Irvine, Coss has started all twelve games. He is hitting .268 with five RBI to kick off his collegiate career.

The Bullfrogs will open up the 2016 season at home on May 31st against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Group tickets, season tickets and 7-game packages are on sale now.  The Bullfrogs off-season hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
