(Rochester, Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of left-handed pitcher Bayley Chesterson of Riverside City College (Cal.), for the 2016 Northwoods League season.

Chesterson is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound freshman has 12 appearances for the Tigers going 1-1, pitching 6.2 innings with three walks and four strikeouts with a 8.10 ERA. All of his appearances were in relief for the Tigers.

Chesterson is one of seven freshmen to take the mound for the Tigers in the 2016 season. The team has a 17-13 record overall and a 5-10 record in Orange Empire Conference action.

The Rochester Honkers 23rd season begins on May 31st when the team travels to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to take on the Express.  The following night, Wednesday, June 1st, the Honkers battle the Express in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm.
