(Rochester, Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of Cal State Northridge freshman, Joe Czarske (ZAR SKI), to their roster for the 2016 season.
Czarske, a native of West Lake Village, Calif., is a 6-foot-3, 210 pound corner infielder. He signed to play with the University of Arizona in November of 2014 when the Honkers committed to him. Czarske then transferred to Cal State Northridge and had to sit out this season due to NCAA Transfer Rules. He will begin his collegiate playing career as a redshirt freshman next season.
Czarske graduated from Agoura High School (Agoura Hills, Calif.) in 2015 where finished his senior season hitting .420 with 10 stolen bases. In his time at Agoura High School, Czarske was a Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mentioned selection, second-team all-state, first-team all-league and first-team all-county in his senior season. He was a 4-year letter winner in baseball and 1-year letter winner in football.
The Rochester Honkers 23rd season begins on May 31st when the team travels to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to take on the Express. The following night, Wednesday, June 1st, the Honkers battle the Express in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available.
