Green Bay, Wis. – The Green Bay Bullfrogs add three position players to their 2016 Roster. Zach Biermann from Polk State College, Brad Hamilton from Kent State, and Marcus Shoemaker from Lenoir-Rhyne will provide power and athleticism to the Bullfrogs lineup.

Zach Biermann is a left-handed first baseman from West Bend, Indiana. The 6’3” 225lb freshman hails from Polk State College. Biermann has started all 56 games this season at first base and is currently hitting .290. The powerful first baseman is the team leader in homeruns with 10, runs batted in with 55, and 17 doubles. Biermann is going to provide the Bullfrogs with power in the middle of their lineup and the ability to cash in when runners are in scoring position.

Hamilton will join the Bullfrogs this summer after finishing up his sophomore season at Kent State. The Avon Lake, Ohio native has seen time primarily as a catcher for Kent State but the Bullfrogs coaching staff sees Hamilton’s versatility, with his experience behind the plate, at first, and in the outfield. In his freshman season, he appeared in 17 games with 9 starts but has seen an increase in playing time in his sophomore season. In 19 games, Hamilton his hitting .296 with five doubles and two homeruns. Hamilton played his high school ball at Avon Lake H.S. where he was named First Team All-Ohio, All County, All Conference, and conference MVP in his senior year.

Marcus Shoemaker has just finished his sophomore season at Lenoir-Rhyne University. As freshman, Shoemaker appeared in 43 games making 36 starts in the outfield. He finished the season batting a team high .359 with 27 runs batted in and 12 doubles, second most on the team. The Colfax, North Carolina native has started 49 games in the outfield this season while hitting 13 doubles. Shoemaker brings speed and athleticism to the Bullfrogs. He is currently second in the team with six stolen bases and second on the team in triples.
