Kingfish’s Bechina captures HR Derby at the Harbor Title

Marty Bechina of the Kenosha Kingfish won the individual title at the Homerun Derby at the Harbor on Monday night with six homeruns. The South team defeated the North to win the team title.

A crowd of over 3,000 people witnessed a first in baseball as 18 Northwoods League sluggers attempted to hit homeruns into the downtown Kenosha Harbor.

The night included music by Bella Cain and finished with an impressive fireworks display over Lake Michigan.

The Northwoods League All-Star game will take place tonight at 7:05 pm at Historic Simmons Field in Kenosha, WI.
