Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks are happy to announce that Yeager Taylor, a 6’0” sophomore from UC Riverside will be coming to Wausau this summer to play with the team.

Yeager Taylor made his Highlanders debut against Kansas State his freshman season as a pinch hitter and finished the year ranked fourth on the team in doubles and home runs. Taylor boasted a .274 average with a slugging percentage of .464.

During the summer of 2016 Taylor played for the Cowlitz Black Bears of the West Coast League. He hit nine doubles, three triples, one home run and had 17 RBI with the Black Bears.

Prior to his collegiate ball experience Taylor was named the 2015 All-CIF Division 5 MVP and Mountain Pass League Offensive MVP.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks’ home opener is Wednesday, May 31, 2017. All ticket packages and group tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2017 season. The Woodchucks are also excited to be hosting the 2017 Northwoods League All-Star Game, presented by Ascension.
