Grafton, WI – Once again this summer Northwoods League rosters will feature a multitude of players from the Big Ten Conference including two of the latest Lakeshore Chinook signees. Georgia native Jack Dunn (Northwestern University) and former Menomonee Falls High School star Ty Weber (University of Illinois) will make their way to Mequon after the completion of their college seasons.

Jack Dunn is a 6’2 middle infielder from Blessed Trinity High School in Alpharetta, GA where he earned All-State honors in 2015. As a highly decorated student-athlete, Dunn chose the Big Ten Wildcats and made an immediate impact as a leadoff hitter and shortstop.  Dunn hit .258 with a .344 on base percentage and was tied for a team-high with 213 at-bats. Last summer Dunn was selected as an all-star playing for the Norcross Astros of the Georgia Sunbelt Baseball League, hitting .312 in twenty games. While off to a slow start at the plate this season, Dunn has been a consistent defender and important cog in the Northwestern line-up.

Ty Weber finished his past two high school seasons on the field at Kapco Park as he led the Menomonee Falls Indians to back-to-back WIAA State Summer Championships in 2015 and 2016. The 6’4 right-handed pitcher and first baseman was named the 2016 All-Suburban and WIAA State Player of the Year after posting a 7-0 record, with a 2.05 ERA, 64 strikeouts, and only12 walks while terrorizing opponents at the plate hitting .530 with 8 doubles, 2 home runs, and 21 RBI. Prior to heading to Champaign, Weber was selected in the 34th Round of the MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds, but chose to head to Illinois. Used exclusively as a starting pitcher, Weber currently leads the Illini pitching staff with a 2.82 ERA in his first four starts and a team-high 18 strikeouts.
