BISMARCK, ND –  The Bismarck Larks have signed a pair of Mystics from Bismarck State College, Spencer Gillund and Trever Leingang. Spencer is a freshman infielder from Enderlin, ND; while Trever is a sophomore from Mandan, ND.

Spencer Gillund through 22 games this season, has hit 8 home runs, along with 35 RBI’s, and a .455 batting average. His best performance of the season was on April 9 against Lake Region State College, where Spencer batted in 8 RBI’s, went 4-4 at the plate, and scored 5 runs for the Mystics.

At Enderlin High School, Spencer was a two-time All-State and three-time All-Region shortstop. He led his team in batting average, RBIs HRs, ERA, and wins. He was also voted Team MVP twice in his high school career.

Trever Leingang this season has batted in 12 RBI’s and a .451 batting average for the Mystics. He’s also scored 23 runs, and has 3 stolen bases. Trever’s best performance this season was during a doubleheader against Itasca Community College on March 26, where he batted in 4 RBI’s, scored 5 runs, and went 5-7 behind the plate in those two games.

Throughout his 2-year career at Bismarck State College, he’s batted in 31 RBI’s, scored 36 runs, and has a career batting average of .307.

Trever and Spencer will make their Northwoods League debut when the Larks kick off their inaugural season May 30th. Ticket packages are still available, with single game tickets going on sale May 1st at
