KENOSHA, WIS.- The Kenosha Kingfish are excited to announce the addition of two junior college outfielders to its summer roster, with sophomores Chris Botsoe and Aaron Bond signing on for 2017. Botsoe will join the squad from Iowa Western, while Bond comes from San Jacinto.

Botsoe is a 5-foot-11 right-handed hitter from Hinsdale, Illinois, and has lit the ICCAC on fire this season. He’s posted an incredible .395 batting average with a .559 on base percentag line in 43 at-bats. He’s smacked a home run and four doubles while driving in eight runs this season while swiping six bags on the basepaths. Botsoe has also put together an outstanding 14 walks next to just four strikeouts.

Botsoe attended Hinsdale Central high school, and posted the third-highest batting average at the school since 1979. He was the No. 2 ranked outfielder in the state of Illinois after his senior year, and was a 1st team all-state selection. Botsoe spent his freshman season redshirting at Louisville.

Bond is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound left-handed hitter from South Bend, Indiana who attended Clay High School. He’s off to a blistering start to the season, compiling a .340 batting average and a .520 slugging percentage in 50 at-bats. He’s hit two homers and three doubles this season while stealing nine bases and getting caught zero times, good for second on the team. He’s also walked 11 times while striking out 15 times.
