BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League bolstered its pitching staff with the  recent signings of three right-handers hurlers.

The team’s latest signees are a stable of right-handed pitchers: sophomore Tyler Steele from Vanguard (Calif.) University, freshman Chandler Cannon of McLennan (Texas) Community College and freshman Jean Carlos Bonilla of Lackawanna (Penn.) College.

Steele is a native of Kingsburg, California. He carries a 3.15 earned run average and a 7-2 record for the Warriors (28-17). Steele has started 10 games and appeared in 14. He has given up 58 hits and 19 earned runs in 54.1 innings. He has struck out 33 batters and opponents are hitting .244 against him.

Cannon came out of high school with a 15-2 record and 0.22 ERA. He is 2-1 with one save in five relief appearances with the Highlanders (38-7). He has a 9.58 ERA and has struck out 10 batters in 10.1 innings pitched. Cannon is from Toledo, Ohio.

The 6-foor-4, 220-pound Bonilla in from the Bronx, New York. He has appeared in six games with the Falcons (26-12) where he has compiled a 1-2 record and an 8.64 ERA. He has 11 strikeouts in 8.1 innings.

The Larks open the season and a four-game homestand May 30 against the Eau Claire Express at Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.
