Stryffeler replaces Storm pitcher, David Lemasters, who is out due to injury
(Rochester Minn.) – The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Michael Stryffeler from Lake Erie College. Stryffeler replaces Lake Erie pitcher, David Lemasters on the Honkers’ roster, who is out for the season due to an injury.
Stryffeler is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound junior from Sagamore Hills, Ohio. He is currently 2-4 with a 6.57 ERA. Stryffeler has made nine appearances on the season, six of them starts, pitching 37.0 innings, striking out 44 and walking only 18.
As a sophomore, he posted a 3-2 record in 17 appearances, with four saves. In 35.0 inning of work, Stryffeler struck out 30.
The Rochester Honkers 24th season begins on Tuesday, May 30th when the team hosts the Mankato Moondogs in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. The NEW 5-Game Packs are available now!
