Bullfrogs have signed Anthony Egeln, Johnathon Pendergast and Brendan Meissner for the 2017 season

Green Bay has announced the signings of three right-handed pitchers for the 2017 roster. Anthony Egeln Jr of Trinty College, Jonathon Pendergast of Pepperdine University, and Brendan Meissner of UW-Oshkosh will all be joining the Bullfrogs this summer.

Egeln, a 6’2”, 193-pound junior right handed pitcher from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida will be headed to Green Bay after he closes his third year with Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Last season with the Bantams, Egeln led the team in wins with four, starts with ten, complete games with four and shutouts all the while posting 34 strikeouts on the year. The junior was the go to guy in the bullpen for head coach Bryan Adamski in his sophomore season. So far this season for Trinity, Egeln has four starts to is name, in 19 innings pitched the junior was tallied up nine strikeouts. Not only has Egeln gotten it done on the field, but the student athlete is a mechanical engineer and went throughout high school with a 4.0 gpa.

Pendergast  a 6’2”, 200-pound right handed pitcher from San Diego, California will be headed to join the Bullfrogs after he finishes up his sophomore season with Pepperdine University. Last season Pendergast posted three wins and appeared on the mound 17 times. As a freshman he became a regular in the bullpen for head coach Rick Hirtensteiner. So far this season Pendergast has posted a 3.78 ERA with three wins which leads the team, and he has appeared in ten games this season.

Meissner a 6’2”, 195-pound right handed pitcher from De Pere, Wisconsin will also be headed across the state to spend the summer in Green Bay after his Sophomore year with UW-Oshkosh. This season is the first time Meissner has seen action with the Titans and in four appearances on the mound the sophomore is 1-1 on the year with a 3.52 ERA and 12 strikeouts. Last season Meissner spent his time with Illinois University where he went 1-0 in three appearances. Meissner has the school record for ERA and career strikeouts at West De Pere High School and was the 8th rated prospect out of Wisconsin by Prep Baseball after his senior season.

The Bullfrogs will open their season at home Tuesday, May 30 at 6:35 p.m. against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
