Hudson, Wis. – The Northwoods League St. Croix River Hounds have announced the hiring of Bill Fanning as President. Fanning joins the River Hounds with more than 18 years of minor league front office experience that includes stints with the Denver Zephyrs, Spokane Indians. Wichita Wranglers, and St. Paul Saints. He will be tasked with setting the course for the team’s success through ticket and advertising sales,
promotions, overall ballpark atmosphere, and customer service.

Team co-owner and Chairman, Klint Klaas, is pleased to have Fanning on board. “Bill has the experience we were looking for to lead our efforts in providing the St. Croix Valley with first class, top quality, family fun,” said Klaas. “He has worked for some very successful minor league baseball teams and everything he’s learned from those operations will be put to good use with the River Hounds.”

“I am honored to have this opportunity to work for Klint and the other River Hounds owners,” Fanning said. “Their focus in providing baseball fans along the St. Croix Valley with a fun, affordable experience really sold me on their commitment to making the River Hounds the premiere team in the Northwoods League. I am excited to welcome fans to our new ballpark which will be home to some great baseball action and fun promotions, while striving to make the River Hounds a valued member of the community.”

The Northwoods League, celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in 2018, will welcome the St. Croix River Hounds as the League’s 21st franchise. The River Hounds will begin play in 2019 in Hudson, WI at a new 4000 seat stadium soon to be built on the site of the old Hudson Greyhound Racetrack.
