Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks have two more additions to the 2018 roster. Edward Haus and Nick Frank, both from one of the top baseball programs in the West Coast at St. Mary’s College, will bring their talents to Wausau.

Haus, a 5’ 11” junior originally from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA will strengthen the batting lineup. Haus was one of the top hitters at St. Mary’s in 2017 with a .335 batting average, .398 on-base percentage and .520 slugging percentage. He had six home runs, 21 doubles and 44 RBI. He played summer ball in the New England Collegiate League for the North Adams Steeple Cats in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, he hit .310 with six doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI. In 2016, he hit .256 with 23 RBI and 13 doubles. During the summer of 2015, Haus played for the Shelter Island Bucks of the Hamptons League. Haus was named MVP of the league after winning the batting title with a .360 batting average. He was also the MVP of the league’s all-star game with a 2 for 3 performance and a two-run homer. Haus helped lead his team to win the 2015 Hamptons League championship with a .435 batting average, four RBIs and six runs scored during the playoffs.

Frank, a 6’2” junior originally from Granite Bay, CA will contribute on the mound this summer. The right-handed pitcher spent last baseball season at San Joaquin Delta College where he pitched 85 innings with 76 strikeouts and a 7-2 record in 14 games started. In 2016, Frank pitched 53 innings with 30 strikeouts in eight games started. Frank had a 1.83 ERA with 72 strikeouts throughout his high school playing career. Frank is in the starting rotation at St. Mary’s College for the 2018 season.
