FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders have announced three more players who have been added to the 2018 roster. Three players from the SEC will be joining the team this summer including Kiambu Fentress (Vanderbilt), Dustin Skelton (Mississippi State), & Cole Zabowski (Ole Miss).
Fentress, a 6’0” sophomore outfielder, is playing his second season with Vanderbilt this spring after redshirting during the 2016 season. Fentress lettered in football and baseball at Ensworth High School in Nashville and won four state championships on the gridiron with the Tigers earning first team All-State and All-District honors after leading the state in yards per catch. He was also an All-District selection on the diamond at Cheshire Academy where he was team captain in 2015.
Skelton, a 6’0” sophomore catcher, is playing his second season for the Bulldogs this spring. Skelton batted in 14 runs on 21 hits including five doubles as a true freshman. He was tabbed as the No. 352 overall prospect in the class of 2016 by Perfect Game. Skelton was also chosen by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 36th round of Major League Baseball’s 2016 First-Year Player Draft.
Zabowski, a 6’5” sophomore infielder, is playing in his second season for Ole Miss this spring. Last season, he played in 39 games, making 24 starts (22 at first base, two at designated hitter) and was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. He hit at a .239 clip with 11 RBI and eight runs.
