It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Kurt Arkenburg, who was a Northwoods League umpire during the 2015-17 seasons. Kurt lost his battle with Leukemia on July 24th at the age of 47. During his tenure in the Northwoods League, Kurt umpired over 200 games, more than any other umpire in League history. He will be remembered for his love of the Northwoods League and his passion and professionalism on the baseball diamond. His jersey #10 has been retired.
