Duluth, Minn –The Duluth Huskies Baseball Club are even more excited for the 2019 season with the announcement of four returning pitchers from the 2018 season. The returners are #35 Troy Newell, # 48  Andrew Stout, #26 Zac Shoemaker, and #29 Logan VanWey.

Troy Newell is a 6’5 left-handed pitcher from Saint Peters, MO, and a redshirt Senior at Western Kentucky. In 2018, he had a successful season pitching 59.2 innings racking up an ERA of 3.31. Newell also played in the 2018 All-Star Game at Kalamazoo Michigan and was selected to play in the Major Leagues Dreams Showcase held in Madison.

Andrew Stout is a  6’0 right-handed pitcher from Plainfield, IL, and Senior at Concordia University-Irvine. Last season with the Huskies, he pitched 51.2 innings creating a regular-season ERA of 4.52.

Zac Shoemaker is a  6’4 left-handed sophomore pitcher at Missouri Southern State University had a successful season as well with 37.2 innings pitched and an ERA of 4.06.

Logan VanWey is a 6’2 right-handed pitcher from Webb City, MO. He is a Sophomore at Missouri Southern State University and had a great season as well, with 26.0 innings pitched and an ERA of 3.46.

With each of these pitchers having a powerful 2018 season along with the overall team finishing with a record of 47-25 in the regular season and 3-2 in the postseason the Duluth Huskies Baseball Club has complete confidence 2019 will be an outstanding season for the team. We are less than 200 hundred days away from the start of the next season.
