Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two Florida International position players by signing outfielder, Chris Williams and utility player, Jarrett Ford.

Williams, a 6-foot-2, left handed power hitting freshman was drafted in the 15th round by the Cincinnati Reds. The Woodstock, Georgia native was ranked as the 218th overall prospect and the 41st outfield prospect by Perfect Game in 2018. According to D1baseball.com Williams has the talent to take over left field for the Panthers this spring.

Ford, a 5-foot-10 freshman from Decatur, Georgia, is coming off a senior season where he was named First Team All-County. Ford was ranked the 165th overall prospect and 34th second base prospect by Perfect Game in 2018. Walter Villa of D1baseball.com stated, “Ford, the speedy freshman from Georgia, profiles as a future leadoff batter if not right away. He also proved this fall he was FIU’s best center fielder.” Ford will play all over the diamond for the Booyah this summer.

The Booyah are adding two talented players with immense upside and are excited to add them to the roster. Florida International opens up their season on Friday, February 15th against Stony Brook in Miami, Florida.

The Green Bay Booyah open up the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
