FOND DU LAC, WI – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are excited to announce the signings of four players from the Division II & Division III ranks. Aaron Anderson (Flagler College), Aaron Ball (Kankakee Community College), Ryan Miller (Benedictine University), and Thomas Paulich (Stevens Institute of Technology) will all be joining the Dock Spiders’ squad this summer.
Anderson, a redshirt sophomore first baseman, is currently playing his second season at Flagler College in Florida. He started all 52 games he played in and batted .330 with 65 hits, including seven doubles and three home runs. Last summer, Anderson set a new record for the Florida College Summer League by recording a .434 batting average while playing for the Winter Garden Squeeze. He was also voted as the Florida Collegiate Summer League’s Most Valuable Player last year as well.
Ball, a right handed pitcher, is a currently a freshman at Kankakee Community College. Originally from Commerce, MI, he starred at Lakeland High School.
Miller, a 6’4” junior pitcher, has been a staple in Benedictine’s starting rotation. In 2018, he pitched 56.2 innings, went 6-2 overall in eight starts and was named to the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) 1st team. He had the 7th best ERA in the NACC at 2.54. Last summer he went 3-0 overall and had a 3.61 ERA while pitching for the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs.
Paulich, a 6’0” sophomore infielder at Stevens Institute of Technology, was Rookie of the Year in the Empire 8 Athletic Conference during the 2018 season. He appeared in 39 games and started 38 while posting a .257 batting average. He possessed a stellar .980 fielding percentage and committed only two errors at third base. Last summer he had 11 hits and 4 RBIs for the Long Island NorEasters.
