Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce the signings of three pitchers for the 2019 Northwoods League season with the addition of Josh Leaser, Austin Eggleston and Joe Moran.
Leaser is a 6’1”, 195 pound right-hander, who is in his junior season at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. The native of Coronado, Calif., appeared in 17 games in relief last year and compiled a 1-2 record with an earned run average of 5.79. Leaser allowed zero or one run in 13 of his 17 appearances out of the bullpen for the Falcons.
Eggleston hails from Arlington, Texas, is a junior at Friends University in Wichita, Kan. The 5’11”, 155 pound right-hander has pitched in seven games this season and is 2-3 with a 5.22 ERA.
Moran is a junior at Anderson University in his hometown of Anderson, Ind. The 6’1”, 180 pound righty was a winner in his only appearance this season as he allowed only one hit and struck out eight in five innings of work.
The Border Cats open the 2019 regular season on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:05 pm against the Duluth Huskies at Port Arthur Stadium.
