League will feature four teams for the 2024 season in Madison, La Crosse, Mankato and Minot

Rochester, Minn. – Northwoods League Softball is thrilled to announce the release of the schedule for its highly anticipated inaugural season. Fans in Mankato, MN; La Crosse, WI; Minot, ND; Madison, WI and across the region can now plan for an exciting summer of softball, showcasing top-tier talent and fostering community pride.

This marks a significant milestone in the league’s journey as the schedule includes a variety of matchups, offering fans the opportunity to witness high-level competition along with the fun and entertainment associated with the Northwoods League.

The league is also committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. Throughout the season, there will be various community engagement events bringing the joy of softball to fans of all ages.

Northwoods League Softball President/Commissioner Kathryn Reynolds expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “We’re so happy to share the schedule for the inaugural season of Northwoods League Softball. Leveraging the 30-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024.  The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play.  Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
