The La Crosse Steam recorded the first win of the NWL softball season beating the Madison Night Mares 2-1. Mackenzie Willis (California State University Monterey Bay) earned the win throwing 6.2 innings with six strikeouts allowing five hits, three walks, and one run. Willis earned the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night award.
