Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 3 games. The Mankato Habaneros put together twenty-five runs to help them collect two victories on the day.
Mankato 13, Minot 6
The Mankato Habaneros ran up the score over the Minot Honeybees beating them 13-6. Brooke Holmes (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and collecting four RBI. Jessica Snippes (University of Minnesota) went 4-for-4 scoring three times with a double and one RBI. Paige Zender (Iowa State) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and a solo home run. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Kierra Fournier (Minot State University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Jenna Sprague (Kirkwood Community College) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings allowing four hits, three runs, and one walk.
Madison 14, La Crosse 6
The Madison Night Mares used a six-run inning to help take down the La Crosse Steam 14-6. Carly Oliver (University of the Cumberlands) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin-Madison) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and collecting four RBI. Haley Remington (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a double, one stolen base, and one RBI. Avary Makarewicz (Eastern Illinois University) went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and an RBI single.
Mankato 12, Minot 4
The Mankato Habaneros secure the sweep taking down the Minot Hot Tots 12-4. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Savannah Teale (Kentucky State University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 1-for-3 and scored once with two RBI. Cairah Curran (Santa Clara University) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring twice. Skyler Dietz (Colorado Christian University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Jessica Snippes (University of Minnesota) earned the win throwing all seven innings with ten strikeouts allowing eleven hits, three earned runs, and one walk.
