Thursday’s Northwoods League slate featured 16 game. The Madison Mallards walk it off in the tenth to secure the sweep the Lakeshore Chinooks winning game two 4-3. The Green Bay Rockers walk it off taking down the Minnesota Mud Puppies 6-5.

Battle Creek 6, Fond du Lac 4

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6-4. Xavier Ulrich (Wagner College) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Ben Fierenzi (Long Island University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Jake Surane (University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Michael Addari (Michigan State University) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one hit and zero walks.

Madison 7, Lakeshore 3

The Madison Mallards defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 7-3. Jake Munroe went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Jake Schaffner (North Dakota State University) went 1-for-1 scoring three times with a triple and one stolen base. Aidan Espinoza (University of California Los Angeles) went 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Aj Garcia (University of Michigan) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Mason Schwalbach (Kansas State) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Aidan Arbaugh (Michigan State University) earned the win throwing 2.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Wisconsin Rapids 15, Wausau 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters run up the score beating the Wausau Woodchucks 15-3. Owen Mcelfatrick (Northwestern University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a grand slam, an RBI single, and one stolen base. Tracer Lopez (Texas Tech University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Jack Mathey (Ohio Dominican University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with one RBI. Bryce Hubbard (Northwest Florida State College) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Daniel Harden (McClennan Community) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 with a solo home run. Zach Voss (McNeese State University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits and one walk.

Green Bay 6, Minnesota 5

The Green Bay Rockers walk it off taking down the Minnesota Mud Puppies 6-5. Sam Miller (Columbia University) went 2-for-4 with a walk-off two-run home run. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Mason Eckelman (Ohio State University) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Lincoln Berry (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Nainoa Cardinez (University of Hawaii) earned the win throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing zero walks or hits.

La Crosse 7, Rochester 0

The La Crosse Loggers shut out the Rochester Honkers 7-0. Ryan Kucherak (Louisiana State University) went 2-for-4 with a bases-clearing double and a two-run single. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Rj Hamilton (Vanderbilt University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one stolen base. Gable Mitchell (University of Iowa) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one stolen base. Logan Runde (Florida International University) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing four walks and zero hits.

Badlands 9, Mankato 8

The Badlands Big Sticks score seven in the sixth to help defeat the Mankato MoonDogs 9-8. Evan Appelwick (Miami University Ohio) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a bases-clearing triple. Kaden Carpenter (University of Utah) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring twice with two stolen bases. Troy Berg (Iowa Central Community College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Casey Sorg (Bellarmine University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a two-run home run, a double, and one stolen base. Josh Alexander (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a triple and two RBI. Dylan Cortes (LeTourneau University) earned the win throwing two innings with four strikeouts allowing two walks, two hits, and two runs.

Kalamazoo 10, Kenosha 0

The Kalamazoo Growlers shut down the Kenosha Kingfish 10-0. Brock Leitgeb (University of Michigan) went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a two-run triple. Evan Rodriguez (Tallahassee Community College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Ryar Rinehart (Kalamazoo College) went 2-for-2 scoring twice with one RBI. Adam Berghorst (Indiana State University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts allowing two hits and one walk. 

Waterloo 4, Thunder Bay 2

The Waterloo Bucks scores the go-ahead runs in the ninth to take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 4-2. Brennan Hudson (Georgia State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Matthew Martinez Ii (High Point University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Greg LaChance (University of Illinois) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Alexander (McPherson College) earned the win throwing .1 innings allowing zero walks, hits, and runs.

Rockford 4, Kokomo 3

The Rockford Rivets scored the go-ahead run in the ninth to defeat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 4-3. Nick Barone (West Virginia University) went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI, and two stolen bases. Brayden Bakes (Indiana University) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and two stolen bases. Lukas Farris (University of Georgia) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Jack Potteiger (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one hit and zero walks.

La Crosse 5, Rochester 1

Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Colin Hynek (Georgia State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Aidan Hansen (Minnesota State University Mankato) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing zero walks and zero hits.

Carsen Plumadore (Georgia Southwestern State University) earned the win throwing four scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing two hits and zero walks.

The St. Cloud Rox collects twelve hits to help beat the Bismarck Larks 16-2. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and an RBI double. Ben Higdon (University of Kentucky) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a double, two RBI, and one RBI. Trey King (University of Georgia) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with a triple and three RBI. Brandt Thompson (Missouri State University) earned the win throwing five innings with eight strikeouts allowing five hits, one walk, and one run.

Green Bay 15, Minnesota 7

The Green Bay Rockers shut down the Minnesota Mud Puppies securing the sweep and wins game two 15-7. Luke Moeller (Grand Canyon University) went 4-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles collecting five RBI. Mulivai Levu (UCLA) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Taylor Shultz (Georgia State University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Sam Miller (Columbia University) went 3-for-5 scoring three times with two RBI. Tomas Lee (Des Moines Area Community College) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base.
