Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The La Crosse Loggers sweep the Duluth in tonight’s doubleheader winning 4-3 in the second game and winning the first game in extras.

La Crosse 13, Duluth 12

The La Crosse Loggers take down the Duluth Huskies in extras 13-12. Derrick Mitchell (Louisiana State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles, one stolen base, and three RBI. Elijah Ickes (University of Hawaii) went 2-for-5 scoring three times with a double, one stolen base, and one RBI. Luke Anderson (BYU) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and two RBI. Mj Sweeney (Grossmont College) went 3-for-6 with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Jayden Duplantier (University of Texas at Austin) went 4-for-6 scoring three times with a double, a triple, and one RBI. Kaden Taque (University of California Berkeley) earned the win throwing two innings allowing two hits, one run, and zero walks.

Battle Creek 2, Royal Oak 0

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks defeated the Royal Oak Leprechauns 2-0 in tonight’s tight matchup. Mason Hamlin (University of Texas of the Permian Basin) went 1-for-4 scoring once with one stolen base. Parker Picot (University of Alabama) went 2-for-4 with a triple. Collin Overholt (Ashland University) went 1-for-4 with a double. Tanner Douglas (University of Portland) earned the win throwing four scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing four walks, three hits, and zero runs.

Madison 7, Traverse City 4

The Madison Mallards scored five in the fifth to help beat the Traverse City Pit Spitters 7-4. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, a triple, and one RBI. Shai Robinson (Illinois State University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Carter Hain (Oakland University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Cole Heath (Western Kentucky) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with one strikeout allowing three hits, one run, and zero walks.

Rockford 15, Kokomo 3

The Rockford Rivets ran up the score on the Kokomo Jackrabbits beating them 15-3. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run and an RBI single. Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Kyle Schupmann (University of Cincinnati) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with three RBI. Brayden Bakes (Indiana University) went 3-for-4 scoring five times with a double and one stolen base. Dylan Petrey (Indiana State University) earned the win throwing 5.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts allowing three walks and three hits.

Waterloo 9, Rochester 1

The Waterloo Bucks collect twelve hits to help defeat the Rochester Honkers 9-1. Lucas Moore (University of Louisville) went 4-for-5 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and three RBI. Ben Wilmes (University of Iowa) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI. Brennan Hudson (Georgia State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Marcus Heusohn (University of Illinois at Chicago) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Ryan Gold (University of Georgia) earned the win throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing three hits and one walk.

Lakeshore 9, Wausau 7

The Lakeshore Chinooks take down the Wausau Woodchucks 9-7 in tonight’s matchup. Dominic Kibler (Kent State University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with an RBI double and a two-run home run. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a solo home run. Gene Trujillo (University of New Mexico) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Drew Berkland (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Michael Gray (Denison University) earned the win throwing 3.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing zero hits and zero walks.

Green Bay 6, Wisconsin Rapids 0

The Green Bay Rockers shut out the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-0 tonight. Lukas Torres (Wagner College) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 scoring twice with a solo home run. Sam Miller (Columbia University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with one stolen base. Henry Chabot (Chapman University) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing one hit and zero walks.

Kalamazoo 12, Kenosha 5

The Kalamazoo Growlers use a five-run fourth inning to help take down the Kenosha Kingfish 12-5. Xavier Delgado (Barry University) had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run, an RBI double, and an RBI single. Korbin Griffin (Ball State University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a two-run home run and a triple. Brandon Larson (Stanford University) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a double, a triple, and one RBI. Nick Giamarusti (Ohio State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple, one RBI, and one stolen base. Ryan Kraft (Indiana University) earned the win throwing five innings with ten strikeouts allowing five hits, two walks, and one earned run.

Willmar 4, Minot 1

The Willmar Stingers beat the Minot Hot Tots 4-1 in tonight’s matchup. Rhett Stokes (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a two-run home run. Trevor Winterstein (Augustana University) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 scoring twice with one RBI. Jack Spanier (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two stolen bases. Bismarck 10, Mankato 4

The Bismarck Larks score five in the seventh to help take down the Mankato MoonDogs 10-4. Joey Baran (Western Kentucky) went 1-for-3 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Tristan Delaplante (Bismarck State College) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one walk and one hit.

Eau Claire 14, Thunder Bay 8

The Eau Claire Express defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats 14-8 in tonight’s hit show. Davis Rivers (Texas Tech University) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a grand slam and an RBI single. Jake Busson (Iowa Central Community College) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Colton Wemhoff (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Greg LaChance (University of Illinois) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and a home run, and collecting two RBI. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run recording two RBI. Ryan Speshyock (Stanford University) earned the win throwing six innings with six strikeouts allowing seven hits, three walks, and two runs.
