Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 4 games. The Mankato Habaneros and Madison Night Mares both swept their on-the-road doubleheaders, both teams are leading the league with six wins and two losses.

Mankato 15, La Crosse 2

The Mankato Habaneros take game one beating the La Crosse Steam 15-2. Paige Zender (Iowa State) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with three RBI. Madelyn Birling (Bryant and Stratton College) went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Serena Timmer (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI. Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) earned the win throwing five innings allowing six hits, two runs, and two walks.

Madison 3, Minot 0

The Madison Night Mares shut out the Minot Honeybees winning game one 3-0. Carly Oliver (University of the Cumberlands) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Haley Remington (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-2 with one RBI and one stolen base. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin-Madison) went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Karlie Mckenzie (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts allowing four hits and three walks. 

Mankato 6, La Crosse 4

The Mankato Habaneros score four in the seventh to take down the La Crosse Steam 6-4. Sailor Hall (Kirkwood Community College) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI. Paige Zender (Iowa State) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Brooke Holmes (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with one RBI. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one walk and zero hits.

Madison 12, Minot 1

The Madison Night Mares came out hot in the first scoring eleven runs to help mercy rule the Minot Honeybees 12-1. Lexie Shaver (Salt Lake Community College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a two-run triple. Brooke Steinhorst (Madison College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Carly Oliver (University of the Cumberlands) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Chloe Wamboldt (Rock Valley College) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with one RBI. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 with a double. Andrea Jaskowiak (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing three innings with five strikeouts allowing three hits, two walks, and one run.
