Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 2 games. Minot comes back today with a thrilling walk-off win, and Mankato is officially leading the NWL softball with seven wins and two losses.

Mankato 6, La Crosse 3

The Mankato Habaneros collect another win from the La Crosse Steam beating them 6-3. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) had a day at the plate going 2-for-3 scoring once with a pair of doubles, one stolen base, and three RBI. Sailor Hall (Kirkwood Community College) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a double and a triple. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a stolen base. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Ashley Wolfe (Oregon State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two stolen bases. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing seven innings with five strikeouts allowing nine hits, three runs, and two walks.

Minot 6, Madison 5

The Minot Honeybees walk it off in the eighth to beat the Madison Night Mares 6-5. Skyler Dietz (Colorado Christian University) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Ariana Diaz (Southern Virginia University) went 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI. Cairah Curran (Santa Clara University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Trinity Gregg (University of Jamestown) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a double. Hilary Blomberg (University of Wisconsin-Madison) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Lexie Shaver (Salt Lake Community College) went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two stolen bases. Kierra Fournier (Minot State University) earned the win throwing five innings allowing seven hits, four runs, and one walk.
