Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The La Crosse Loggers take down the Duluth Huskies 13-3 tonight to record their ninth win in a row.

Battle Creek 5, Royal Oak 2

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks came out hot scoring five in the first to take down the Royal Oak Leprechauns 5-2. Spencer Verburg (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run single. Alex Fernandes (University of Memphis) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double. Cayden Wotipka ( Lower Columbia) went 1-for-4 scoring once with an RBI double. Riley Frost (University of North Georgia) went 1-for-2 with a two-run double. Shane Tucker ( Long Island University – Brooklyn) threw a solid three innings with nine strikeouts, allowing three hits, two runs, and zero walks. Adrian Rubio (Eastern New Mexico University) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with five strikeouts having only faced six batters allowing zero hits and zero walks.

Madison 7, Traverse City 1

The Madison Mallards dominate the Traverse City Pit Spitters 7-1 in tonight’s matchup. Shai Robinson (Illinois State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Frankie Carney (University of California Irvine) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring once with two stolen bases. Justin Best (Florida State University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with one stolen base. Jt Sokolove (Illinois State University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with two stolen bases. Addison Southwick (Augustana College) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning allowing one walk and one hit.

Rockford 15, Kokomo 10

The Rockford Rivets defeat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 15-10 in tonight’s hit show. Cade Zalewski (Eastern Illinois University) had a day at the plate going 4-for-5 scoring once with a grand slam and a pair of doubles, ending the day with six RBI. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run. Logan Mock (University of Southern Indiana) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Lukas Farris (University of Georgia) went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and one stolen base. Jack Anderson (Case Western Reserve University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Aidan Mcaskie (Charleston Southern University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and one stolen base. Alex Day ( Northern Illinois University) earned the win throwing two innings with one strikeout allowing three hits, two walks, and one run.

La Crosse 13, Duluth 3

The La Crosse Loggers score six in the sixth to help take down the Duluth Huskies 13-3. Derrick Mitchell (Louisiana State University) went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with two RBI. Luke Anderson (BYU) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Jack Collins (California State University Long Beach) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Tate Hess (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) earned the win throwing seven innings with six strikeouts allowing four hits, two runs, and two walks.

Kenosha 4, Kalamazoo 1

The Kenosha Kingfish beat the Kalamazoo Growlers 4-1 in tonight’s matchup. Robert Newland (Kalamazoo College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with one RBI. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 1-for-4 with a double. Eli Duncan (University of North Carolina Charlotte) went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Tsubasa Tomii (Herkimer College) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Wausau 4, Lakeshore 3

The Wausau Woodchucks score the go-ahead run in the ninth to defeat the Lakeshore Chinooks 4-3. Trey Gambill (University of Oklahoma) went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one stolen base. Daniel Harden (McClennan Community) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. Cutter Clawson (BYU) earned the win throwing four innings with nine strikeouts allowing one hit, one run, and one walk. 

Eau Claire 5, Thunder Bay 1

The Eau Claire Express takes down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 5-1 in tonight’s tight matchup. Ragan Pinnow (Augustana University) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Brady Reynolds (Stanford University) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a triple. Jake Busson (Iowa Central Community College) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and one RBI. Trey Fikes (Three Rivers College (MO)) went 2-for-5 with a double. Cole Selvig (University of Texas at Austin) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing five hits, four walks, and one run.

Rochester 8, Waterloo 7

The Rochester Honkers score eight in the sixth to take down the Waterloo Bucks 8-7. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Larry Edwards (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Evan Morrison (McPherson College) went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Ben Wilmes (University of Iowa) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and two stolen bases. Drew Peters ( San Joaquin Delta College) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings with one strikeout allowing five hits, one run, and zero walks.

Willmar 19, Minot 2

The Willmar Stinger ran up the score on the Minot Hot Tots beating them 19-2. Jessada Brown (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a two-run single and a three-run home run and one stolen base. Trevor Winterstein (Augustana University) went 4-for-5 scoring three times with two RBI and one stolen base. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. J.D. Hennen (Augustana University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with eight strikeouts allowing five walks and one hit.

Green Bay 12, Wisconsin Rapids 2

The Green Bay Rockers score five in the eighth to help defeat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12-2. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a grand slam and finishing the day with five RBI. Cooper Kelly (Oral Roberts University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Owen Mcelfatrick (Northwestern University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Connor Nolen (Carroll University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing one hit and zero walks.

St. Cloud 8, Badlands 2

The St. Cloud Rox take down the Badlands Big Sticks 8-2 in tonight’s matchup. Sawyer Smith (University of Kansas) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, three RBI, and one stolen base. Carter Hanson (University of Massachusetts) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Trey King (University of Georgia) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Hunter Day (Missouri State University) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing six hits, two runs, and one walk.

Mankato 12, Bismarck 6

The Mankato MoonDogs score five in the third to help defeat the Bismarck Larks 12-6. Cadyn Karl (Kansas State) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBI and two stolen bases. Jackson Waller (University of Nevada Reno) went 3-for-6 scoring three times with a pair of doubles and one stolen base. Ben Robichaux (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a triple, two RBI, and one stolen base. Brody Delamielleure (Florida State University) went 4-for-6 scoring three times with a double. Owen Byberg (Frontier Community College) earned the win throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing one walk and one hit.
