Friday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. Duluth goes into a thrilling extra-inning matchup against Waterloo, where they walk it off in the eleventh to take down no.2 in the Great Plains East.

Kokomo 6, Battle Creek 3

Jack Anderson (Case Western Reserve University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Luke Matthews (Palomar College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a triple. Josh Schliechardt (Clark College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a solo home run. Alex Fernandez (University of Memphis) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Kyle Manship (Quincy University) earned the win throwing six innings with seven strikeouts allowing four walks, three hits, and two runs. 

Traverse City 9, Kalamazoo 4

Cole Prout went 2-for-5 scoring once with a home run and two RBI. Daniel Jackson (Wofford College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Vain Lackey (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with one stolen base. Brock Leitgeb (University of Michigan) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a home run and collecting two RBI. Jayden Dentler (Western Michigan University) earned the win throwing six innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, one run, and one walk. 

Wausau 14, Eau Claire 9

Max Galvan (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and collected four RBI. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with a home run and recording two RBI. Daniel Harden (McClennan Community) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a home run and two RBI. Isaac Webb (Texas AandM University-Corpus Christi) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI. Reggie Bussey (Oakland University) went 1-for-3 scoring four times with one stolen base. Keaton Ruthardt (Oral Roberts University) earned the win throwing three innings with three strikeouts allowing three hits, two walks, and one run. 

Royal Oak 2, Kenosha 1

Parker Picot (University of Alabama) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a two-run home run. Ryan Mckay (Michigan State University) went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Noah Jouras (Davidson College) went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Joe Turner (Henry Ford Community College) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing two hits and two walks.

Madison 8, Green Bay 4

Will Vierling (University of Louisville) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run and a solo home run, collecting three RBI. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota State University) went 2-for-3 scoring one with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. David Whittle (San Diego State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a triple. Blake Guerin (University of Iowa) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double. Tyler Guerin (University of Iowa) earned the win throwing three strikeouts allowing one walk and one hit.

Rochester 14, Minnesota 3

Augusto Mungarrieta Lorenzo (Rochester Community and Technical College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and collecting five RBI on the night. Paul Schoenfield (Colorado Mesa University) went 1-for-2 scoring four times with a double, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Brendan O’Sullivan (University of Nevada Las Vegas) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Grant Macarthur (San Joaquin Delta College) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a double and a solo home run. Colin Gibson (South Dakota State University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Tomas Lee (Des Moines Area Community College) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and one stolen base. Will Cooper (McMurray University) earned the win throwing five innings with seven strikeouts allowing six hits, four walks, and three runs.

Rockford 10, Lakeshore 6

Nick Demarco (Notre Dame) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a double and collecting three RBI. Brayden Bakes (Indiana University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Isaac Lopez (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a double and two RBI. Scott Newman (Parkland College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Sam Hunt (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Carson Seeman (University of Southern Indiana) earned the win throwing five innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, four runs, and three walks.

Mankato 11, Minot 7

Casey Sorg (Bellarmine University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a two-run home run, an RBI single, and another RBI single in the fifth. Ben Robichaux (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) went 3-for-5 scoring three times with a triple and two RBI. Tristan Moore (University of Houston) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a double and a solo home run. Cody Grebeck (Dallas Baptist University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and one stolen base. Tanner Shumski (Minnesota State University Mankato) earned the win throwing five innings with two strikeouts allowing nine hits, four runs, and two walks.

Duluth 5, Waterloo 4

Max Coupe (Gonzaga University) walking it off for Duluth goes 3-for-5 with a double and collects four RBI. Cal Elvis (Sacramento City College) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Joe Vos (University of St. Thomas) went 2-for-5 scoring three times with a stolen base. Ben Wilmes (University of Iowa) went 1-for-5 scoring once with a triple and one RBI. Albert Roblez (University of Nevada Las Vegas) earned the win throwing 3.2 scoreless innings with six strikeouts having only faced eleven batters giving up zero hits or walks.

Thunder Bay 6, La Crosse 4 

Brody Chrisman (Purdue University (IN)) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Zane Skansi (Creighton University (NE)) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Brayden Kuriger (Nicholls State University (LA)) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Luke Davis (Long Beach City College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with an RBI double and a two-run home run. Tyrus Riley (Fort Hays State University (KS)) earned the win throwing 4.1 innings with ten strikeouts allowing two hits, two runs, and two walks. 

Willmar 9, Bismarck 6

Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 4-for-5 scoring once with a double, three RBI, and one stolen base. Rhett Stokes (University of Nebraska) went 2-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Jessada Brown (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double and one stolen base. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 3-for-5 scoring three times with a double. Sebastian Granados (Grossmont College) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings with five strikeouts allowing four walks, four runs, and three hits.

Badlands 2, St.Cloud 1

Troy Berg (Iowa Central Community College) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Adam Haber (Wofford College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a triple. Francesco Barbieri (Ave Maria University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Tyler Conklin (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing five walks and two hits.
