Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured a doubleheader between the Mankato Habaneros and Minot Honeybees. Mankato win streak is now extended to nine.

Mankato 7, Minot 5

The Mankato Habaneros used a two-run extra inning to help take down Minot Honeybees 7-5. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles with two RBI. Josie Buhr (Kansas Wesleyan University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with two RBI. Skyler Dietz (Colorado Christian University) went 2-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Riley Stiles (Rock Valley College) earned the win throwing 4.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing five walks and one hit.

Mankato 10, Minot 0

The Mankato Habaneros secure the doubleheader sweep with a mercy rule victory over the Minot Honeybees winning 10-0. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a two-run triple and collecting a third RBI in the third. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and one RBI. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with an RBI double. Jenna Sprague (Kirkwood Community College) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits and three walks.
