Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured a doubleheader between the Mankato Habaneros and Minot Honeybees. Mankato win streak is now extended to eleven.
Mankato 8, Minot 2
The Mankato Habaneros scored five runs in the sixth taking down the Minot Honeybees 8-2. Sailor Hall (Kirkwood Community College) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Serena Timmer (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Indigo Fish (University of Wisconsin-Superior) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing seven innings with seven strikeouts allowing five hits, three walks, and two runs.
Mankato 4, Minot 2
The Mankato Habaneros sweep the Minot Honeybees winning the second game 4-2. Amity White (University of South Alabama) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and three stolen bases. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Grace Leithesier (Bryant and Stratton College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double. Dominique Baker (Bismarck State College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Sailor Hall (Kirkwood Community College) earned the win throwing seven innings with six strikeouts allowing seven hits, one earned runs, and zero walks.
