Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Battle Creek Battle Jacks walk it off taking down the Kalamazoo Growlers 7-6. The Duluth Huskies walk it off taking down the Bismarck Larks 5-4.

Royal Oak 10, Traverse City 9

The Royal Oak Leprechauns take down the Traverse City Pit Spitters 10-9 in tonight’s matchup. Ryan Mckay (Michigan State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a triple and two RBI. Collin Overholt (Ashland University) went 2-for-2 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Jack Boike (Adrian College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Vahn Lackey (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Ethan Guerra (University of Arizona) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run and one stolen base. Griffin Kilander (Wayne State University) earned the win throwing three innings with four strikeouts allowing two walks, one hit, and zero earned runs.

Madison 1, Wisconsin Rapids 0

The Madison Mallards shut out the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 1-0. Will Vierling (University of Louisville) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota State University) went 3-for-4 scoring once. Aidan Teel (University of Virginia) went 2-for-4 with a double. Tracer Lopez (Texas Tech University) went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Coley Kilpatrick (North Carolina AandT) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with five strikeouts allowing five hits and one walk. 

Thunder Bay 7, St. Cloud 4

The Thunder Bay Border Cats collected twelve hits to help beat the St. Cloud Rox 7-4. Jackson Cooke (University of Tennessee at Martin) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Riley Iffrig (Indiana State University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Zane Skansi (Creighton University (NE)) went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases. Brody Williams (Kent State University) went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run. Peter Fusek (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) earned the win throwing 4.1 innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, two walks, and one run.

Battle Creek 7, Kalamazoo 6

Alex Fernandes (University of Memphis) went 3-for-4 scoring once with two stolen bases. Sam Harris (Duke University) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Bock Leitgeb (University of Michigan) went 1-for-1 with a triple and two RBI. Gabe Springer (Stanford University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with one RBI and two stolen bases. Justin Morgan (Centralia Community College) earned the win throwing two innings with three strikeouts allowing two runs, one walk, and one hit.

Rochester 6, Mankato 1

The Rochester Honkers score four in the fifth to defeat the Mankato MoonDogs 6-1. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and an RBI single. Andrew Cain (University of Arizona) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa University) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with one stolen base. Coltin Quagliano (University of Illinois) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Brody Delamielleure (Florida State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Dylan Tostrup (University of Southern California) earned the win throwing six innings with seven strikeouts allowing seven hits, one run, and one walk.

Traverse City 7, Royal Oak 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters score three runs in the ninth to beat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 7-1. Brett Denby (Georgia Tech) went 3-for-5 with one RBI. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Collin Overholt (Ashland University) went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Jayden Dentier (Western Michigan University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with five strikeouts allowing five walks and two hits.

Waterloo 9, Kenosha 6

The Waterloo Bucks collected thirteen hits in their 9-6 victory over the Kenosha Kingfish. Ben Wilmes (University of Iowa) went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Lucas Moore (University of Louisville) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles, two RBI, and one stolen base. Larry Edwards (McNeese State University) went 3-for-4 scoring four times with a pair of doubles and one stolen base. Matthew Stancliff Jr. (McNeese State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Ethan Alexander (McPherson College) earned the win throwing 1.2 scoreless innings allowing two hits.

Wausau 8, Green Bay 1

The Wausau Woodchucks take down the Green Bay Rockers 8-1 in tonight’s matchup. Bryce Hubbard (Northwest Florida State College) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run and a double. Isaac Webb (Texas AandM University-Corpus Christi) went 2-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Grant Siegel (University of Central Florida) earned the win throwing seven innings with one strikeout allowing five hits, one run, and zero walks.

Eau Claire 9, La Crosse 4

The Eau Claire Express came out hot in the second scoring four runs to help beat the La Crosse Loggers 9-4. Gabe Richardson (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run. Davis Rivers (Texas Tech University) went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Brady Reynolds (Stanford University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with one stolen base. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 3-for-3 with a two-run double and a solo home run. Cole Selvig (University of Texas at Austin) earned the win throwing five innings with seven strikeouts allowing five hits, four walks, and two runs.

Duluth 5, Bismarck 4

The Duluth Huskies walk it off taking down the Bismarck Larks 5-4. Max Coupe (Gonzaga University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Josh Duarte (Georgetown College) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Michael Davinni (University of Utah) went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Zach Daudet (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Jackson Smith (Central Michigan) earned the win throwing one scoreless inning allowing one walk and one hit.

Willmar 13, Minot 6

The Willmar Stingers came out swinging scoring five in the second to help run up the score on the Minot Hot Tots 13-6. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) was perfect at the place going 3-for-3 scoring twice with a grand slam, a two-run single, and two stolen bases. Maximus Martin (University of Arkansas) went 3-for-4 scoring four times with a triple, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Liam Bushey (Western Illinois University) went 2-for-2 scoring three times with a double. Anthony Potestio (University California San Diego) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles, one RBI, and one stolen base. Evan Dempsey (Florida Gulf Coast University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Aidan Gonzalez (University of San Diego) earned the win throwing five innings with one strikeout allowing eight hits, two runs, and two walks.

Lakeshore 11, Fond du Lac 9

The Lakeshore Chinooks defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 11-9 in extra innings. Joey Nerat (Dallas Baptist University) had a day at the plate going 3-for-6 scoring three times with an RBI single, a solo home run, and a two-run triple. Griffin Cameron (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-5 scoring once with two RBI and two stolen bases. Billy Scaldeferri (Grand Canyon University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with four stolen bases. Dominic Kibler (Lawrence University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Parker Knoll (went 1-for-5 with a grand slam. Cade Wiegert (Dallas Baptist University) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Rockford 22, Kokomo 8

The Rockford Rivets used a monster seventh inning scoring ten runs to dominate the Kokomo Jackrabbits 22-8. Maddox Mihalakis (University of Arizona) went 2-for-5 scoring three times with a two-run home run, two-run double, and one stolen base. Bobby Atkinson (Bradley University) went 2-for-5 scoring three times with a three-run home run and a double. Brayden Bakes (Indiana University) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and a triple, collecting four RBI. Ryan Bakes (University of South Carolina) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and two RBI. Aidan Mcaskie (Charleston Southern University) went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run. Ethan Rossi (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a solo home run. Hayden Oglesby (Southern Arkansas University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one walk and one hit.
