Friday’s Northwoods League slate featured a solo matchup between the La Crosse Steam and the Minot Steam.

The La Crosse Steam mercy rule and shut out the Minot Honeybees 10-0 in tonight’s matchup. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with an RBI double and a two-run single to call game. Avary Makarewicz (Eastern Illinois University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Rachel Mori (William Peace University) went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Teagan Graul (Paris Junior College) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a double and one stolen base. Mackenzie Willis (Belmont University) earned the win throwing six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts allowing seven hits and two walks.
