Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The Wausau Woodchucks dominated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 20-3 in tonight’s matchup.

Traverse City 10, Lakeshore 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters score four in the second to help take down the Lakeshore Chinooks 10-4. Ethan Guerra (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run and one stolen base. Brett Rozman (Central Arizona College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with three RBI. Brady Counsell (University of Kansas) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Grant Garman (Oakland University) earned the win throwing six innings with eight strikeouts allowing five hits, two runs, and zero walks. 

Green Bay 11, Fond du Lac 2

The Green Bay Rockers score four in the eighth to extend the lead and defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 11-2. Mulivai Levu (UCLA) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Seth Farni (University of Mississippi) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a a double and solo home run. Daalen Adderley ( Loyola Marymount University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Tyler Neises (Georgia Tech) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Lleyton Grubich (McHenry County College) earned the win throwing six innings with six strikeouts allowing five hits, one run, and zero walks.

Wausau 20, Wisconsin Rapids 3

The Wausau Woodchucks dominated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 20-3 in tonight’s matchup. Max Soliz Jr. (Auburn) was perfect at the plate going 5-for-5 scoring four times with a two-run home run, a solo home run, and a two-run double. Colin Bruggemann (Oklahoma State University) went 1-for-4 scoring three times with a two-run home run. Vance Sheahan (University of South Carolina Upstate) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and four RBI. Greyson Shafer (Brigham Young University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Edwin Alicea (Nova Southeastern University) earned his fifth win throwing five innings with eight strikeouts allowing seven hits, three runs, and zero walks.

Bismarck 10, Badlands 4

The Bismarck Larks scored six runs in the seventh to help take down the Badlands Big Sticks 10-4. Noah Leib (Denison University) went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Kyle Hvidsten (Iowa Western Community College) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Michael Davinni (University of Utah) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Matthew Porter (Bismarck State College) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Madison 15, Kenosha 3

The Madison Mallards ran up the score on the Kenosha Kingfish winnings 15-3. Charlie Marion (Madison College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a triple and two RBI. Cal Fisher (Florida State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with four RBI and one stolen base. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota State University) went 2-for-4 scoring four times with a double and one stolen base. Brandon Nigh (Oakland University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Jackson Malouf (College of New Jersey) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings allowing one hit.

Rockford 8, Waterloo 7

The Rockford Rivets walk it off beating the Waterloo Bucks 8-7. Scott Newman (Parkland College) went 3-for-5 with a walk-off RBI single, an RBI double, and two-run home run. Bobby Atkinson (Bradley University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Evan Morrison (McPherson College) went 1-for-1 with a double and two RBI. Evan Jones (Western Kentucky) earned the win throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with one strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Kokomo 8, Battle Creek 2

The Kokomo Jackrabbits scored four runs in the seventh to help defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 8-2. Jake Lambdin (Xavier University) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Ethan Rossi (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with two stolen bases. Luke Matthews (Palomar College) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Aidan Hatcher (Butler University) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing two walks and two hits.

Rochester 15, La Crosse 3

The Rochester Honkers score five runs in the seventh to beat the La Crosse Loggers 15-3. Dean Carpentier (University of Southern California) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a two-run home run and one stolen base. Reiss Calvin (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 1-for-3 scoring four times with a two-run home run and two stolen bases. Jared Lewis (San Jose State University) went 3-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and three stolen bases. Ian Collier (Texas State University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Nathen Nino (Fresno City College) earned the win throwing 5.2 innings with six strikeouts allowing six hits, three runs, and two walks.

St. Cloud 14, Minot 8

The St. Cloud Rox score six in the third to take down the Minot Hot Tots 14-8. Carter Hanson (University of Massachussetts) went 2-for-3 scoring three times with a solo home run. Andrew Savage (Pepperdine University) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring once with three RBI and one stolen base. Kaden Amundson (Nicholls State University) went 1-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Anthony Potestio (University California San Diego) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and a two-run home run. Caid Bergthold (University of Arizona) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Phil Brennaman (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing ten hits, five runs, and one walk.

Thunder Bay 7, Duluth 6

The Thunder Bay Border Cats score three in the eighth to take the lead and defeat the Duluth Huskies 7-6. Jackson Cooke (University of Tennessee at Martin) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Ty Hamilton (Florida Southwestern State College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Joe Vos (University of St. Thomas) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Max Coupe (Gonzaga University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double. Peter Fusek (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) earned the win throwing 1.2 innings allowing two walks, one earned run, and one hit.

Kalamazoo 6, Royal Oak 3

The Kalamazoo Growlers beat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 6-3 in tonight’s tight matchup. Blake Grimmer (University of Tennessee) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Eric Becker (University of Virginia) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Parker Picot (University of Alabama) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and a solo home run. JR Bedford (Fresno State University) went 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI. Eamon Horwedel (University of Michigan) earned the win throwing six innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk.

Willmar 12, Mankato 8

The Willmar Stingers defeat the Mankato MoonDogs 12-8. Jessada Brown (University of California Santa Barbara) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and three stolen bases. Drey Dirksen (Augustana University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Carter Vrabel (Tennessee Tech University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and a solo home run. Riley Jackson (Florida State University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Mitch Gutknecht (Minnesota State University Mankato) earned the win throwing five innings with four strikeouts allowing six hits, two earned runs, and two walks.
