Friday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Willmar Stingers got on the scoreboard first to help them defeat the St. Cloud Rox 4-2 in the first game. The stingers then used a four run fourth inning to beat the St. Cloud Rox 9-6 in the second game.

Willmar 4, St. Cloud 2

The Willmar Stingers got on the scoreboard first to help them defeat the St. Cloud Rox 4-2. Jessada Brown (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Max Buettenback (University of Nebraska) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring twice with a double. Tyler Bishop (University of Nebraska Omaha) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Will Whelan (University of Minnesota) earned the win throwing five innings with nine strikeouts allowing three hits, two walks, and one earned run.

Wausau 9, Fond du Lac 4

The Wausau Woodchucks came out hot in the first scoring four runs in the first to take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 9-4. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double, one stolen base, and four RBI. Colin Bruggemann (Oklahoma State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Bryce Hubbard (Northwest Florida State College) went 2-for-5 scoring once with two RBI. Caleb White (Georgia Southern University) earned the win throwing four innings with two strikeouts allowing four walks, five hits, and three earned runs.

Rockford 13, Battle Creek 5

The Rockford Rivets score four in the second to help run up the score on the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 13-5. Daniel Contreras (Illinois State University) had a day at the plate going 5-for-6 scoring once with a solo home run and six RBI. J.R. Nelson (Parkland College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Scott Newman (Parkland College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with one RBI. Aaron Sanchez (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing two hits and one walk.

Traverse City 3, Kokomo 1

The Traverse City Pit Spitters come in clutch scoring two runs in the ninth to beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 3-1. Carter Hain (Oakland University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Ethan Belk (Wofford College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double. Michael Flaherty (Grinnell College) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Mason Hill (Aquinas College) earned the win throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts allowing one walk and zero hits.

Eau Claire 10, Duluth 9

The Eau Claire Express came out hot in the ninth scoring six runs to take down the Duluth Huskies 10-9. Brady Reynolds (Stanford University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a triple and three RBI. Brigs Richartz (University of St. Thomas) went 1-for-4 scoring three times with a double and three RBI. Ethan Farris (Texas State University) went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Joe Vos (University of St. Thomas) went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Brady Sullivan (Texas A&M University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Tracen Cameron (Florida International University) earned the win throwing four innings with five strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and one walk.

Mankato 9, Bismarck 1

The Mankato MoonDogs have a monster seventh inning scoring eight runs to defeat the Bismarck Larks 9-1. Ty Rumsey (University of Evansville) went 1-for-1 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Jake Duer (Texas Christian University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Riley Jackson (Florida State University) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Peter Michael (Northwestern University) earned the win throwing 6.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts allowing two hits and one walk.

Rochester 9, Waterloo 5

The Rochester Honkers scored five runs in the eighth to help beat the Waterloo Bucks 9-5. Dom Rodriguez (San Joaquin Delta College) went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and one stolen base. Luca Dipaolo (University of Southern California) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Grant Macarthur (San Joaquin Delta College) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double. Joe Sperry (USC Lancaster) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing four hits, two walks, and one run.

Wisconsin Rapids 10, Lakeshore 3

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters collect fifteen hits in their 10-3 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. Max McGwire (University of San Diego) went 1-for-5 scoring once with three RBI. Chris Arroyo (University of Virginia) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI. Jack Mathey (Kent State University) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Connor Hennings (University of Iowa) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Greyson Shafer (Nicholls State University) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Matthew Heard (University of North Georgia) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing two hits and zero walks.

Green Bay 14, Kenosha 1

The Green Bay Rockers scored seven runs in the eighth the run up the score on the Kenosha Kingfish 14-1. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a two-run home run and a double. Mulivai Levu (UCLA) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a pair of doubles and two RBI.
