Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 3 games.

Madison 3, Minot 2

The Madison Night Mares scored two runs in the sixth to take down the Minot Honeybees 3-2. Tia Durst (Lake Land) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a triple and two RBI. Carly Oliver (University of the Cumberlands) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring twice with a pair of doubles. Kaitlynne Allen (Indiana University South Bend) went 3-for-4 scoring twice. Karlie Mckenzie (Eastern Illinois University) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing one hit. 

Mankato 3, La Crosse 1

The Mankato Habaneros take down the La Crosse Steam winning game one 3-1. Madelyn Birling (Bryant and Stratton College) was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Lindsey Schultz (Grinnell College) went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jenna Sprague (Washburn University) earned the win throwing seven innings with two strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and zero walks.

La Crosse 10, Mankato 9

The La Crosse Steam used a five-run fifth inning to help defeat the Mankato Habaneros 10-9. Ashley Wolfe (Transfer Portal) went 1-for-2 scoring once with two RBI and two stolen bases. Calli Janik (Mount Mercy University) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Ashlee Chantos (Winona State University) went 3-for-3 scoring once with two RBI. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run and a double. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a bases-clearing triple and three RBI. Indigo Fish (Transfer Portal) went 4-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Sydney Schott (Spalding University) earned the win throwing 5.1 innings with five strikeouts allowing seven hits, six runs, and one walk.
