Tuesday’s Northwoods League slate featured a solo matchup between the #1 Mankato Habaneros and the #3 La Crosse Steam.

Mankato 6, La Crosse 3

The Mankato Habaneros came out hot scoring four runs in the first to take down the La Crosse Steam 6-3. Sailor Hall (Minnesota State University, Mankato) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with one RBI and one stolen base. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Emma Lee (Trine University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with an RBI triple. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Calli Janik (Mount Mercy University) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing seven innings with four strikeouts allowing four hits, three runs, and three walks.
