Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured 14 games. The Great Plains West #1 St. Cloud Rox scored six runs in the eighth to run up the score on the Badlands Big Sticks 12-1.

Rockford 19, Royal Oak 7

The Rockford Rivets collect twenty-one hits to help run up the score on the Royal Oak Leprechauns 19-7. Aj Taylor (University of Illinois at Chicago) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and a triple, collecting five RBI. Logan Mock (Nicholls State University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a double and four RBI. Nick Barone (West Virginia University) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Scott Newman (Parkland College) went 2-for-6 scoring once with a double and two RBI. George Athanasiadis (Merrimack College) went 1-for-5 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Luke Olson (Angelo State University) earned the win throwing four innings with eight strikeouts allowing three walks, two hits, and zero earned runs.

Kalamazoo 4, Kokomo 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers trump the Kokomo Jackrabbits 4-2 in tonight’s matchup. Myles Beale (Northwood Univeristy) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Kevin Krill (Eastern Michigan) went 1-for-2 with a double. Austin Hear (Concord University) went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Eric Harper (NOC Tonkawa) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one stolen base. Ryan Kraft (Indiana University) earned the win throwing six innings with nine strikeouts allowing six hits and one earned run.

Wausau 3, Madison 0

The Wausau Woodchucks shut out the Madison Mallards 3-0. Edian Espinal (Chipola College) went 2-for-3 with two strikeouts. Colin Bruggeman (Oklahoma State University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Vance Sheahan (University of South Carolina Upstate) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double. Grant Siegel (University of Central Florida) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing two walks.

Thunder Bay 4, Rochester 1

The Thunder Bay Border Cats scored two in the eighth to extend the lead and take down the Rochester Honkers 4-1. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and one stolen base. Trey Fikes (Three Rivers College (MO)) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Zane Skansi went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Brayden Kuriger (Nicholls State University (LA)) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one stolen base. Terrence Moody (St. Cloud Technical and Community College) earned the win throwing four innings with four strikeouts allowing five walks, three hits, and one run.

Battle Creek 8, Wisconsin Rapids 0

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks dominated the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters beating them 8-0. Cayden Wotipka (Lower Columbia) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a triple, one stolen base, and three RBI. Ben Fierenzi (Long Island University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. G Smith (Montana State University Billings) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI. The Traverse City Pit Spitters pulled through with the victory taking down the Kenosha Kingfish 1-0. Aaron Piasecki (Central Michigan University) went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Vahn Lackey (Georgia Tech) went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Michael Tchavdarov (Davenport University) went 1-for-3 scoring once. Brandon Nigh (Oakland University) went 2-for-2 with a double and two stolen bases. Nick Putnam (Univeristy of California Santa Barbara) went 1-for-3 with a double. Jayden Dentler (Western Michigan University) earned the win throwing eight scoreless innings with three strikeouts allowing six hits and four walks.

Kokomo 3, Kalamazoo 2

The Kokomo Jackrabbits came in clutch taking game two beating the Kalamazoo Growlers 3-2. Cj Difiglia (Regis University) went 3-for-5 with one stolen base. Jake Lambdin (Xavier University) went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Blake Grimmer (University of Tennessee) went 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Jeremy Comer (University of Tennessee) went 1-for-2 with a double. Seth Benes (Indiana University) earned the win throwing three innings with four strikeouts allowing two walks, one hit, and zero earned runs.

Minot 12, Mankato 6

The Minot Hot Tots scored seven runs in the seventh to take down the Mankato MoonDogs 12-6. Caid Bergthold (University of Arizona) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a triple and two RBI. Duluth 11, La Crosse 9

The Duluth Huskies score seven runs in the fifth to beat the La Crosse Loggers 11-9. Cardell Thibodeaux (Southern University) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with a grand slam and one stolen base. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a pair of doubles and one RBI. Jt Kelenic (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run. The Willmar Stingers have a monster eighth inning scoring eight runs to defeat the Bismarck Larks 10-4. Casey Murray Jr. (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)) went 1-for-4 scoring twice with a triple and one RBI. Ian Segna (Concordia University-St. Paul) earned the win throwing three scoreless innings with six strikeouts allowing three hits.

St. Cloud 12, Badlands 1

Green Bay 7, Fond du Lac 6

The Green Bay Rockers take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-6 in tonight’s matchup. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a triple and two RBI.
