Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured two solo matchups; The #1 Mankato Habaneros and the #2 Madison Night Mares, The #3 La Crosse Steam and the #4 Minot Honeybees.

Mankato 4, Madison 0

The Mankato Habaneros shut out the Madison NightMares 4-0. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-2 hitting her tenth home run with a solo shot in the fourth. Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Indigo Fish (Winona State University) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Serena Timmer (Drake University) went 1-for-2 with a double. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing seven scoreless innings allowing five hits and one walk. 

La Crosse 3, Minot 1

The La Crosse Steam won at home beating the Minot Honeybees 3-1. Teagan Graul (Paris Junior College) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Katie Beagle (University of Illinois at Springfield) went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Lindsey Shultz (Grinnell College) went 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Grace Frechette (St. Cloud State University) scored once and recorded one stolen base. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a solo home run. Mackenzie Willis (Belmont University) earned the win throwing seven innings with seven strikeouts allowing two walks, one run, and one hit.
