Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured a doubleheader between the #2 Madison Night Mares and the #4 Minot Honeybees.

Madison 16, Minot 9

The Madison Night Mares had a monster second inning scoring eleven runs to run up the score 16-9 against the Minot Honeybees. Rylee Rogers (Madison College) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and collecting four RBI. Lexie Shaver (Salt Lake Community College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with three RBI and one stolen base. Tia Durst (Lake Land) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Haley Remington (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with three RBI. Jackie Albrecht (University of North Dakota) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Kendall Weik (Madison College) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings with two strikeouts allowing six hits, six runs, and three walks.

Minot 12, Madison 9

The Minot Honeybees upset the Madison Night Mares 12-9 to split the doubleheader. Abbie Stigler (Saint Mary”s University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a three-run home run and an RBI double. Shayna Myshrall (Niagara University) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Sydney Farmer (Tyler Junior College) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Trinity Gregg (University of Jamestown) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Mia Johnson (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run and a double, and collecting five RBI. Haley Remington (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 2-for-3 scoring once with two RBI. Danielle Lucey (University of Wisconsin) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with one RBI. Jasmine Blizzard (Minot State University) earned the win in throwing 1.2 innings with two strikeouts allowing four runs, three hits, and zero walks.
