Monday’s Northwoods League slate featured 9 games. The Great Plains East #1 Eau Claire Express took down the Great Plains East #3 Thunder Bay Border Cats 4-2.

Royal Oak 4, Kokomo 2

The Royal Oak Leprechauns score three runs in the sixth to beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 4-2. Tony Hatzigeorgiou (Wayne State University) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Michael Lareau (Belmont University) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Joey Cicini (West Chester University) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Jake Lambdin (Xavier University) went 3-for-5 with a double and one stolen base. Ryan Kruse (Valparaiso University) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing six hits, three walks, and two runs.

Battle Creek 5, Rockford 0

The Battle Creek Battle Jacks shut out the Rockford Rivets 5-0 in tonight’s matchup. Ben Fierenzi (Long Island University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI. Sebastian Kuhns (Warner University) went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Mike Koszewski (University of Kansas) went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Adrian Rubio (Eastern New Mexico University) earned the win throwing 4.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts allowing two walks and one hit.

Eau Claire 4, Thunder Bay 2

The Eau Claire Express took down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 4-2. George Bilecki (Lewis University) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Colton Wemhoff (University of Kansas) went 1-for-4 scoring once with one RBI. Riley Iffrig (Indiana State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Peter Fusek (University of Wisconsin-Parkside) went 1-for-4 scoring once with one stolen base. Evan Esch (St. Thomas) earned the win throwing 6.2 innings   with five strikeouts allowing four hits, three walks, and one earned run.

Madison 18, Fond du Lac 8

The Madison Mallards came out hot early scoring six runs in the second to help run up the score 18-8 on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. Will Vierling (University of Louisville) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run and a double. Charlie Marion (Madison College) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Jake Schaffner (North Dakota State University) went 2-for-3 scoring four times with a two-run home run and a stolen base. Frankie Carney (University of California Irvine) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Preston Knott (Northwestern University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a grand slam and a solo home run. Adam Cootway (University of Wisconsin – Whitewater) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. Maddux Frese (Southeastern Community College) earned the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing four hits, two runs, and one walk.

Traverse City 6, Kalamazoo 2

The Traverse City Pit Spitters collected thirteen hits in their 6-2 victory over the Kalamazoo Growlers. Mark Kattula (University of Illinois at Springfield) went 4-for-5 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) went 4-for-5 scoring once with two RBI. Jt Sokolove (Illinois State University) went 1-for-3 scoring three times with one stolen base. Collin Bradley (Grand Valley State University) earned the win throwing six innings with three strikeouts allowing four hits, four walks, and one run.

Green Bay 6, Lakeshore 3

The Green Bay Rockers take down the Lakeshore Chinooks 6-3 in tonight’s matchup. Makani Tanaka (Oral Roberts University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a two-run single. Jake Bold (Princeton University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Dominic Kibler (Kent State University) went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Ethan Hindle (University of Kentucky) went 2-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Mike Howell (Southern Arkansas University) earned the win throwing six innings with five strikeouts allowing six hits, two walks, and one run.

La Crosse 5, Waterloo 2

The La Crosse Loggers scored two runs in the seventh to extend the lead and defeat the Waterloo Bucks 5-2. Landon Williams (Prairie View AandM University) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run and a double. Elijah Ickes (University of Hawaii) went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one stolen base. Rj Hamilton (Vanderbilt University) went 4-for-4 scoring twice with one stolen base. Tagger Tyson (University of Louisville) went 2-for-4 with a double. Brandon Stanley (Maritime College (SUNY)) earned the win throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing four hits and one walk.

Minot 14, Badlands 4

The Minot Hot Tots ran up the score on the Badlands Big Sticks 14-4. Anthony Potestio (University California San Diego) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Brant Baughcum (Mercer University) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Sam Holthaus (Nova Southeastern University) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Keanu Jacobs-Guishard (Grambling State University) went 2-for-2 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Kaden Carpenter (University of Utah) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run. Luke Shannahan (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Tyler Glowacki (Upper Iowa University) earned the win throwing five innings with two strikeouts allowing five hits, four runs, and two walks.

Wisconsin Rapids 8, Minnesota 4

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters defeat the Minnesota Mud Puppies 8-4 in tonight’s matchup. Gabe Caso (Northampton Community College) went 1-for-2 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Kyler Mcintosh (Alabama State University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with three RBI. Jorge De Goti (Nova Southeastern University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Matthew Maulik (University of St. Thomas) went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Josh Novak (Hillsdale College) earned the win throwing one innings with one strikeout allowing three walks, one run, and one hit.
