Wednesday’s Northwoods League slate featured a solo matchup between #1 Mankato Habaneros and #3 La Crosse Steam.

The Mankato Habaneros came out hot scoring five runs in the first to help mercy rule the La Crosse Steam 10-0. Amity White (University of South Alabama) was perfect at the plate going 2-for-2 with a two-run home run. Paige Zender (Iowa State University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice collecting her fifteenth home run. Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Sailor Hall (Minnesota State University, Mankato) went 2-for-4 with a walk-off two-run double. Brooke Holmes (St. Cloud State University) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Jayme Scheck (Drake University) earned the win throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts allowing only one hit and one walk.
