Traverse City 11, Kalamazoo 4
The Traverse City Pit Spitters use back-to-back four-run innings to take down the Kalamazoo Growlers 11-4. Grady Mee (Western Michigan University) had a day at the plate going 4-for-6, including an extra-base hit, recording two RBIs and two runs. Jake McNamara (Palm Beach Atlantic University) went 2-for-5, scoring three times with two RBIs. Cade Collins (Wofford College) went 4-for-5, including a double, and recorded two RBIs and one stolen base. Cole Garner (Chipola CC) went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Kellen Roberts (University of Evansville) earned the win, throwing four innings with one strikeout, allowing three hits, three walks, and two runs.
Wausau 20, Fond du Lac 2
The Wausau Woodchucks clobbered the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 20-2, scoring ten runs in the eighth inning. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) stays red hot, going 2-for-5 on the day with a three-run home run, recording four RBIs. Anthony Quigley (University of South Florida) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2, including a two-run home run, tallying three RBIs, four walks, three runs, and one stolen base. Charlie Longmeier (University of Evansville) went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, collecting three RBIs and two runs. Dylan Schlotterback (Paris JC) went 3-for-5, including a two-run triple, two stolen bases, and scored three times. John Beverley (Georgia State University) went 2-for-4, scoring twice with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Lakeshore 8, Wisconsin Rapids 7
The Lakeshore Chinooks come back and walk it off to defeat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 8-7. Brody Rasmussen (University of Maine) was the king of clutch, knocking out a walk-off two-run bomb, going 4-for-5 on the day, recording three RBIs, two runs, and one stolen base. Owen Deshazo (Boston College) went 2-for-3, including a three-run home run and an RBI double. Jacob Kowes (The Master’s University) went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles. Luke Skinner (Loyola Marymount University) went 1-for-1 with a pinch hit and tallied an RBI and a run. Zander Bretza (San Diego State University) earned the win, throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout, allowing one walk and one hit.
Green Bay 4, Battle Creek 3
The Green Bay Rockers walk it off 4-3 in tonight’s tight matchup against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks. Brayden Buchanan (Baylor University) went 1-for-3 with a solo shot. Cooper Smith (Walsh University) went 1-for-3 with a two-run triple. Josh Algarin (Walsh University) went 3-for-4, including an extra-base hit, tallying two RBIs and one stolen base. Tate Strickland (University of Tennessee) earned the win, shutting it down by throwing two perfect innings with four strikeouts. Alex LePage (Immaculata University) set the tone with a strong start, throwing four scoreless innings with six strikeouts and giving up only two hits.
Kenosha 8, Rockford 2
The Kenosha Kingfish use a four-run fifth inning to secure the win over the Rockford Rivets 8-2. Dayton Murphy (Michigan State University) went 4-for-5, scoring three times with two RBIs and three stolen bases. Aidan Thaxton (Valparaiso University) went 1-for-4 with an extra-base hit and one RBI. Jadan Boyce (Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa CC) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Maximus McClellan (Creighton University) earned the win, shutting down the Rivets, throwing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, allowing two walks and two hits.
Eau Claire 15, Badlands 7
The Eau Claire Express racked up seven runs in the third to help seal the 15-7 win over the Badlands Big Sticks. Jake Busson (Iowa Central CC) is the new Express single-game RBI record holder, going 4-for-6 on the day with a grand slam and a three-run home run. Marcelino Alonso (Madison College) went 3-for-4, scoring three times, recording a double, two RBIs, and one stolen base. Jackson Glueck (Pima CC) went 2-for-5, including a double, one RBI, and one run. Gavyn Schlotterback (Paris JC) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles with one RBI. Connor Massimini (East Texas Baptist University) was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2, scoring three times with one RBI. Connor Lovin (Dodge City CC) earned the win, throwing three innings with one strikeout, allowing seven hits, three earned runs, and one walk. Nathan Vela (Winona State University) had a notable start, throwing four innings with seven strikeouts, allowing four hits, three runs, and two walks.
Mankato 17, Minot 2
The Mankato MoonDogs dominated the Minot Hot Tots 17-2 in tonight’s slugfest. Wills Maginnis (Georgia State University) went 2-for-4, including a two-run home run, collecting four RBIs and two runs. Cannon Peery (Grand Canyon University) went 2-for-4, scoring four times with a pair of doubles, collecting two RBIs, and one stolen base. The Willmar Stingers came out hot in today’s matchup, scoring four runs in three different frames to take down the Thunder Bay Border Cats 13-4.
